Damage Waiver CDW/TP and Zero Excess

 Collision Damage Waiver and Theft Protection (CDWTP) is an optional coverage that reduces the liability of the renter in the event of theft, attempted theft or damage to the bodywork of the vehicle, provided the vehicle is used in accordance with the terms and conditions of the rental agreement. If CDWTP is not included in the reservation, the renter has full liability for the vehicle. CDWTP is available for purchase if not included in the booking. If included in the reservation, the excess amount ranges between CHF 2'500 and CHF 4'000 (excl. VAT) depending on car class. Excess will be charged per each damage event or if the vehicle is stolen. Collision Damage Waiver and Theft Protection is not an insurance. 

If you wish to further reduce the deductible, additional protection options such as Zero Excess (ZE/SCDW) can be purchased. Zero Excess is an optional protection that reduces the renter’s deductible to 0 CHF. ZE/SCDW does not cover negligence, interior damage, or damage to the underbody or roof.

 

Before purchasing Zero Excess, you should verify whether your personal coverage is sufficient to cover damage, theft, administrative fees, or depreciation. If you decline Zero Excess, you will be responsible for covering these costs yourself and claiming reimbursement from your insurance. Zero Excess is not an insurance.
