What is the minimum age to rent a car with Enterprise Minilease?

The minimum age for renting is 18 years.

How much is the deposit?

All customers are required to pay a deposit of CHF 1000 by credit card.

Is there a credit check?

Enterprise Minilease performs a simplified credit check.

What requirements must a tenant fulfil?

The renter and all other drivers must present a valid driving licence at the time of rental. In addition to the valid driving licence, the main renter must present an official photo ID (e.g. passport) and a credit card issued in his/her name. All persons with a driving licence that is not issued in Latin characters (e.g. German, French, Italian, English) must carry an international driving licence in addition to their driving licence from their country of origin.

Where is a vehicle delivered to?

A vehicle will only be delivered to an officially recognised address within Switzerland.

Which payment methods are permitted?

VISA, American Express and MasterCard are accepted as means of payment and deposit for the rental.

Does the car have to be returned with a full tank of petrol?

Yes, the vehicle must be returned with a full tank of petrol. If the vehicle is not returned with a full tank, you will be charged for the missing amount of fuel and the refuelling service according to the rates applicable in the country of rental, unless you have subscribed to the full tank option.

Is there a reduction in liability?

Enterprise Minilease is subject to an excess. Please refer to the rental terms and conditions of your offer for detailed information on cover.

How is passenger accident protection regulated with Enterprise Minilease?

Dispute resolution in the event of damage

Renters who wish to discuss questions about damage to the rental vehicle or lodge an objection should contact our claims department at claims@enterprise.ch.

 

Can I book roadside assistance?

Breakdown assistance is an optional cover that can be selected by the renter. Breakdown assistance includes all the benefits of basic breakdown assistance. In addition, breakdown assistance covers the costs of overnight accommodation and onward travel by taxi, train or bus for all passengers in the vehicle up to a total cost of CHF 500.

If necessary, a replacement vehicle will be delivered within 24 hours in Switzerland. You must comply with all general terms and conditions and rental conditions in order to take advantage of roadside assistance.

Roadside assistance also covers the cost of repair/replacement in the following cases:

- Use of the wrong fuel (only if the renter notices and informs the rental company before starting the engine after refuelling)

- Loss of the vehicle key or key locked in the vehicle

- Jump start when the battery is flat

- Empty fuel tank

 

What are the guidelines for cross-border journeys?

The vehicles can be driven in all European countries except Albania, Belarus, Bosnia, Kosovo, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Russia, Turkey, the Kaliningrad region and Ukraine. There are no additional charges for cross-border journeys. The customer is not obliged to inform the rental station of their plans to leave the country with the vehicle and no authorisation must be obtained in advance.

Is there additional liability cover?

Supplemental Liability Protection (SLP is required by law, free of charge and included in all rates. All vehicles in our fleet have insurance cover against damage to property or injury caused to third parties or third party property in connection with an accident involving the rental vehicle. If you select this option, you must follow the rental company's terms and conditions to take advantage of the insurance provisions.

How is the monthly price for a specific car model defined?

The displayed monthly price for a specific car model is shown as an example with CHF 3,000 excess and a maximum consumption of 500 km per month (including VAT). The current daily price applies and 30 days are assumed for the monthly price.
